installation process

Remove existing lawn with sod cutter, haul and dump debris off-site.
Deliver triple-mix topsoil blend for nutrients and root development.
Grade new topsoil away from property to ensure proper drainage.
Apply starter fertilizer to promote quick and healthy root growth.
Deliver locally farmed, same-day cut Kentucky Bluegrass or Tall Fescue.
Install sod in a staggered pattern, cut edges (garden beds, driveway, etc.)
Compact the sod with a roller or tamper to remove air pockets.
Water immediately and deeply to prevent shrinking or curling.
Cleanup the jobsite and remove any leftover debris from property.
Explain sod care and watering schedule for your new lawn!

While I asked for quotes from multiple companies, what stood out was the timely, professional communication with the Burloak team. There was a weather delay to start, communicated professionally and easily, and once the job began I happened to be on site. The detail and quality was there (this is my first year having someone do this instead of doing it myself so I am picky and skeptical!), and clean. They ensured there was no mess left behind. Oh, and they closed the gate at the side afterwards so our dog did not have any risk. (Unlike another company who came by for a quote and left it open*).
